On Friday, Jeff and I will be presenting at the Self-Reliance Expo in Hickory, NC. Friday from 1-2:30, we will do a program on Real Food Preparedness for Kids and Families. After the presentation, we will take questions.

If you’re in the area, swing by and say hello! We will be at the PRN booth when we aren’t speaking.

I'm KerryAnn Foster, a crazy vibrant Jesus Freak with a heart full of hope. I'm not afraid to love on the least of these or get my hands dirty. This blog is my journey from ineffective, uptight, obese wallflower to a woman on fire for God and living the most vibrant, passionate life possible!

I live in the mountains of Western North Carolina with my husband, Jeff, and our two teens. I blog about self-confidence, health and home, homeschooling and living a vibrant, wide-open Jesus-centered lifestyle. I have over seventeen years of real food, natural lifestyle and health experience. We have homeschooled our children since birth and both Jeff and I run home-based businesses. We're crazy, we know it, and we love every second of it!

Read about my journey to health through celiac disease, PCOS, food allergies, obesity, adrenal fatigue and heavy metals.

KerryAnn- you probably don’t remember me, but I commented about Prescript Assist once and you responded via Patty’s blog, and I’m pretty sure I also sent you an email once about a video series on Real Food for kids that my non profit hopes to eventually produce. Anyway, all that to say (haha), you don’t really know me, but I follow your blog enough that I would loooooove to meet you in person. We live in Indian Trail (Charlotte area), and while it would be *possible* to go to Hickory, it’s not very plausible for a homeschool mom of 4. Will there ever be a time when you will be speaking close to Charlotte? Or even in Asheville, maybe, since that’s a destination location I can usually get my husband on board for.

We currently don’t have anything scheduled in or near Charlotte. We will likely have things going on in and around AVL soon, we’re still look at options and dates. I’ll blog it once we have things firmed up and confirmed.

I am very interested in this subject, but not anywhere near NC. Where can I learn more? Thank you!

Our book, Real Food Storage, guides you through personalizing a food storage program. An upcoming revision will cover the family and children issues in detail. We will post more about it soon.

  • We had peppered eggs and hash browns for dinner. I complained of eggshell in dinner because something was crunchy. It wasn't eggshell. It was a piece of the cast iron pan!
