I haven’t felt this good and had this much energy since before I got sick. I am truly amazed at the difference that diet alone is making in how I feel.
I CAN KEEP UP WITH MY KIDS!!! This past week, I wore them out and I was still going!
I’m sure some of you are tired of hearing about it by now, but this is a MAJOR break-through for a woman who hasn’t even been able to get up out of her office chair after 4pm for a few years. Everyone asks how I’m able to get so much done on a home-based business, that’s how! I was glued to a chair, too tired to move for at least 6 hours a day, sometimes 8-12! You get a lot of work done if you’re too tired to get up and cook, do housework or accomplish pretty much anything else every evening.
I’m enjoying the energy. I’ve been working on projects around the house that I have wanted to tackle but I haven’t been able to since we moved in. Just little things like getting some pictures framed or doing some craft projects that take a little muscle. Doing some organizing and decluttering I’ve wanted to accomplish. I’ve got a long list of little things like that I want to do, and we’re working through it.
The air hunger I mentioned in my last post on the hormonal balance series has already started resolving, and my brain burps with the wrong word falling out of my mouth is almost completely gone, too. Sure, I still have a lot of work in front of me to get the extra 25 pounds off my gut and get my hair to grow back, but this is pretty amazing just by itself. This alone is enough to convince me to keep going and that I’m doing something right.
I’m eating far more food in quantity than I have in years, too. Three full meals and three snacks, yet I’m still slowly dropping weight. The scale is inching down. I’m ok with slow weight loss, it’s progress and I can see it.
I’ve been so happy over it all that I’ve been weepy all day. I know it sounds silly, but when you have dealt with illness for so long, this gives me hope that there really is an end to this and I can resume a full life again.
Beginning next week, I will be posting pics and recipes of what I’m eating for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Wednesday I was eating fried eggs covered in lacto-fermented salsa and sour cream; chicken salad with extra hard-boiled egg, some dried cranberries and grapes; kombucha; nettle and red raspberry infusion; almonds and cheese; and a coconut flour baked good. I’m always aiming for around 70 grams of carbs after subtracting out the fiber, and as much protein as I can eat. Of course, I’m getting plenty of fat, too.
