Giveaway: One Year Menu Mailer Subscription Package

January 15, 2012 by KerryAnn

My posts may contain affiliate links. If you buy something through one of those links, you won't pay more but we will receive a small commission. That helps keep the blog up and the free recipes coming. Thanks! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Email, RSS Follow

We hit 5,000 Facebook fans yesterday, so it’s time to host a giveaway! One winner of this giveaway will receive a 52-week subscription to both the Menu Mailer and the Recipe Archive. The Menu Mailer can be either the Australian or the United States version.

The Menu Mailer

The Menu Mailer covers five dinners (including side dishes), one breakfast, one soup and one dessert every week. It contains a full menu, shopping list, a preparation plan, and serving suggestions for each meal. Tips and information are included in every mailer as well. Ingredients are seasonal for the United States or Australia, your choice.

What makes the Cooking Traditional Foods menu mailer unique? A preparation schedule is included with every menu mailer. It reminds you when to thaw the meat, prep the crock-pot, or soak the grains. Because lack of planning is a major hurdle in getting healthy meals on the table, this schedule helps you make sure everything is done. It also contains blanks so you can write in your own reminders for breakfast, snacks and lunches.

The Cooking TF Menu Mailer has the option for every meal to be gluten and/or casein free, so those with food allergies or who are new to having to cook for someone with allergies do not have to convert the recipe. It also contains suggestions for gluten and casein free brands on each shopping list to assist those new to allergy cooking.

The Recipe Archive

The Recipe Archive is a compilation of all of the recipes that have been posted to Cooking Traditional Foods website and old blog. All recipes are labeled for gluten and casein content, so allergic users can see at a glance which recipes might work for them. There are currently over 500 recipes archived in this collection.

I have followed you on Facebook for sometime but- after reading your history and realizing that many of the health issues you’ve battled parallel mine, I have opted to go gluten free and have been working to transform my kitchen to a more of a Traditional kitchen where at least my dinners are prepared Traditionally 🙂 I’m a work in progress, but your blog and FB posts are helping me on my journey!

Because I love your recipes! For the ones we have tried, I have about a 80% ‘this is great’, 15% ‘good but don’t make it a regular’, and 5% ‘total flop’ that I know I did something wrong…so I’m going to try them again. We’ve been eating better for about 4 years and with your Back to Basics book my menu planning is way easier (I plan based on what we have vs. following your plan because we have a big amount stored.) Thanks so much for your help!

I really want to win a year long subscription because I can not wait to see your menus in the spring and summer! This winter has been so enjoyable in the kitchen and at the table! My favorite recipe so far is the Crock-Pot Italian Chicken. When I was putting ingredients in I thought surely it would be horrible, 3/4 cup of oil! I re-read it twice! Well was I surprised, It is divine! My husband and I love that simple yet delicious stew!

I been cooking traditional foods forever. Its the foods i was raised on. Now that I have become more health conscience, I’m unlearning the bad way to cook them,a find trying to find a better way. In our family a traditional meal would be collard greens. I no longer use the fat back to season them, I use veggie broth and morning star bacon. One of our holiday favorites now.
So i just stumbled on to your blog from another blog. I subscribed via email. I thought great just what I need to help me on my journey to better health.

I just started TF cooking a month ago. So far all the cooking my family has been disgusted with EXCEPT as a recent Menu Mailer subscriber they are all RAVING about your recipes. So far they are devouring the food I made with your recipes. My hubby is the biggest critic, as well as a 5 year old and picky GAPS 2 year old. Thank you for your service, I love it!

We’ve been eating traditional foods for about 5 years. We began out of necessity when we lived in a foreign country and and didn’t have many processed food readily available. At that point I had to ask someone how to make pancakes from scratch- how embarrassing! I”d love the menu mailer because now that we are back in the states, we are still largely traditional food eaters, but I get lazy sometimes or we get stuck in a rut with our menu.

I have been trying to follow a traditional food diet for about 6 years. I have skin issues which I am thinking is gluten related as it gets better when I go low carb. I try to go gluten free but last year I had to go back to work and have gotten way off track. I need more gluten free options which is what led me to your site to begin with, just can’t afford it at this time. Would love to win the menu mailer and access to recipe archive so I can get my skin issues cleared up.

I recently subscribed to Traditional Foods, I was recommended to try this website by Lydia Shatney. I do not have a favorite recipe yet, but with 7 kids Im sure Ill find a few. I would love to win because…..well I need this, 7 kids has me pulled in all different directions, and I lack support and knowledge. I mean I know I shouldnt eat bad foods, but I do it anyway because no time, no money and not enough care I guess. Helping me with this would hopefully prepare myself for better lifestyle and more time for my kids.
