It’s been a long time since I’ve blogged, and I’m back!!
I have been contemplating a return to blogging for a long time, and debating whether or not I should do so. I’ve been doing Facebook Live videos, I’ve been active on social media, but there’s nothing like being able to craft a long, thought-out post that you research and work on for days.
Writing helps me work through my thoughts and settle on a direction. It helps me cement what I believe on a topic and why. I have found myself over the last three years following the same processes as writing a post while researching many issues.
As part of my return to blogging, I have decided to update the blog, as you see here with the redesign, and we will also migrate to a different URL soon. This new url will better reflect the direction the blog will be taking. I am no longer going to focus solely on food. Now I’m going to deal with a variety of topics including:
- Healing from and living well with chronic illness
- Adventure and travel
- Faith and hope
- Homeschooling and unschooling
- Parenting tweens and teens
- Strengthening your marriage
- Home remodeling, hobbies and crafts
- Holistic living
- Natural health and home
- Real food recipes
- And more!
My kids are now almost 12 and almost 14, a far cry from the days of picky eating, co-sleeping and nursing for days on end. The work is just as strenuous, even though it isn’t as exhausting as they allow me to sleep most nights. 😉 Attachment parenting looks a lot different at this age and stage. We spend our days homeschooling, having some great adventures, and building an empire! Jeff just recently launched a new business dealing with antiques and specialty items. I am still a distributor with It Works Global, and together we’re about to launch a new company that is a dream of Jeff’s. I’ll post more about that as the lawyers finish up their work.
My health looks a lot different now, too. I’ve been through multiple diets to assist in healing, among other therapies, and the one constant I have found is that as my body changes, I must change in order to continue the healing process. That has meant that outside of staying strictly gluten-free, I’ve rotated in and out of diets including Paleo, Wahls, Whole 30, AIP, low-carb, high-carb (yes, really) and others and I’ve dropped the last of my weight in that process. I’m now a size eight and holding steady at about 150 pounds. That’s a total of 179 pounds lost! And I’ve gone blonde. 😉
If you’d enjoy extra content, I do Facebook Live videos regularly and they’re viewable to the public. You can follow or friend me on Facebook here, and then subscribe to my live videos by clicking the ‘subscribe’ button at the end of any of my live videos. Subscribing will give you a notification on Facebook every time I go live.
This is a facebook live I did recently on homeschooling.
I’m so excited! I hope you’ll join me on the journey in this new phase of life!
